The Calile Brisbane Wedding Styling

What a beautiful way to return to the wonderful world of wedding styling after almost five months in Covid-limbo! It’s been such a roller coaster ride for the wedding industry and all our couples trying to navigate their 2020 weddings!

Yesterday’s stunning wedding was pulled together in 7 days after border closures meant a last minute move from NSW to Qld. After finding a beautiful outdoor location in Brisbane for their ceremony, and booking the amazing Calile hotel for their reception, our couple’s plans were thwarted once again when rain forced another last minute change to the outdoor ceremony plans. Bringing the ceremony to the undercover courtyard at The Calile, Kate & the events team did a fantastic job at pulling things together on such short notice, and the day was even more magical than we could have imagined. Full credit to our lovely couple Gabriella & Dylan for riding the storm and looking absolutely relaxed and stunning on their wedding day. Plan C rocked!

We were also so excited to work with our lovely friend Amber from @mrsgibbonsflowers again! Her beautiful creations always make us smile. The colour palette for this wedding was divine and perfectly complemented all of the bride’s lovingly hand painted vases in tones of pink, white & terracotta. On a drizzly overcast day, it felt like Spring at The Calile!

A little bonus of having the ceremony & reception at the same location was that we were able to move and repurpose the arbour as a beautiful bridal table backdrop.  This made a real feature behind the couple and meant their flowers could be admired all night.
